In commemoration of the International Youth Day, ChildFund Kenya, in partnership with LEAP Africa and DOW Chemicals Kenya, hosted the Youth Day of Service at Kariobangi North Primary School, Nairobi County, Kenya. The initiative “Themed “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,” highlighted the role of digital innovation in
advancing sustainability. Bringing together 300 children, youth, and key stakeholders, the event featured a tree-planting exercise led by Mumbi Keega, (Managing Director, Dow
Eastern Africa) alongside Alice Kamau (ChildFund Kenya Country Director).
Participants planted 100 high-value fruit trees, tagged using the Regreening Africa Project’s mobile tool for monitoring and landscape restoration. This integration of digital technology with environmental conservation reinforced how digital solutions can enhance sustainability efforts.
